The stoplock ultima, it is a bar through the steering wheel which locks on with a flashing L.E.D.to deter would be theives. This has caused no problems to the majority of steering wheels, leather or otherwise.
The basic principle of STOPLOCK® - and the source of some of its numerous patents - is the 
method of feeding the bar through the steering wheel, over the centre boss and behind the steering wheel rim. The head of the STOPLOCK® is then locked around the steering wheel rim to secure it. All STOPLOCK® products work in this way and this is at the core of its unique blend of convenience, visibility and security.
The Ultima uses the hefty lock and arms from the Pro, while the central padded section inhibits wheel centre attack. The armoured clamp works well, too. In an Autoexpress review using an “expert” in car theft armed with tools they defeated the lock in 119 noisy seconds - but only after some lateral thinking from the tame expert, exploiting its weak spot. This result was amongst the best overall and in terms of time taken to defeat the lock this product came top of the league. ( some of the common steering lock products were defeated in less than 10 seconds - without tools!)
