the ESP button on the dash is for turning the ESP on/off if you press it the warning light will come on the dash alerting you that the ESP wont work. best just to leave it turned on, dont really know why they give you the option to turn off/on anyway?

In the UK all but the very basic models have ESP supplied as standard equipment.

Apart from very "cheap and nasty" imports, and VERY basic models, you would struggle to find a model not fitted with ESP.

All Qashqai's do not have ESP's. It is Optional. It is standard in TEkna. Not even on the n-Tec model

Well if I’d had seen this or realised the importance of ESP before I ordered my new Qashqai I would have defiantly ordered ESP and I’m already thinking about a retro-fit if that’s possible.
Still can’t understand why the powers that be don’t step in and make it a standard requierment on all new cars after reading this.
