Car radio security codes
Lost the serial number for your stereo or sat nav? Don’t worry this happens to many of us, sometimes we did not even realise there was a code until we had a flat battery or had to have the battery disconnected for maintenance. The suddenly we need to input security code or no sounds! Luckily nowadays its a lot easier toget security codes for all ICE. However this also means that as a security measure, car stereo security codes are worse than useless, anyone with a credit card can have a working serial number in seconds without providing any proof of ownership whatsoever!

Car stereo unlock codes
There are many companies online who will issue an unlock code for your stereo either by phone, text or email. Virtually all manufacturers are covered including Blaupunkt, Grundig, Becker, Philips, Sony, Delco and many others.

Car radio unlocking software
With dealers charging approx £25 plus VAT to provide unlocking codes having a piece of software to do it for you seems like a good plan. However we have recieved mixed reports on the effectiveness of the software available so check out independant reviews etc before you purchase.

One last tip, although car dealerships will often charge you for unlocking the stereo they certainly do not have to! providing this information takes them seconds and costs nothing. If you phone your local dealer and they attempt to charge for this information, its always worth phoning around and speaking to other dealers, you may well get lucky!
